The heavy duty spring prevents kinks at the spout, and the quality brass fittings do not leak.The only thing that I didn't expect was for the hose to have a "plastic" feel. It doesn't feel as cheap as a typical garden hose, but I had expected the hose to be rubber. That's not a big negative, since the hose does perform well and is difficult to kink. I had just expected it to be an actual rubber hose. First three days it worked fine, no leaks. Then the hose's male end developed a leak. First I thought that the washer was faulty, but no such luck. The leak is in the crimp that holds the skinny brass tread-piece to the hose. I guess I will have to return this. The saddest part of all - the product is made in the U.S.A. |
