I tend to prefer all metal when it comes to hose end replacements, and lately have been taking to given them a little shot with a torch to make sure that the connection was tight. But, these totally do away with all that and the need for any other hose end replacements, frankly. They are a little bulky, but the plastic/nylon/whatever seems very durable, and you can crank them down till there's no leak. No tools required too.
