This hose matched all these criteria - and more! Dealing with 50 ft. hose I needed one I could lug around my yard, so it had to be 1/2 in. You cannot believe the difference 1/2" makes vs. 5/8" in weight! Just go to Water Right's website and see how their hoses are manufactured - they are unmatched in quality. Yes, they cost a little more, but totally worth it. And they are beautiful (colors!). I actually went to their website and investigated the specs for the hose. On Water Right's website they list the ID, inside diameter, as 1/2 inch which I felt would give enough pressure for washing the car using a pressure nozzle. When I received the hose I was amazed at quality of the build. Beautiful end pieces. The other thing that stood out was the size of the hose. I measured the OD, outside diameter, and it was 1/2". I'm wondering how the ID and OD can be the same size. The hose is light but I don't think it is paper thin. Also the hose connectors have an opening of 5/16" on each end. I would bet the ID of the hose would be a little bigger but not near 1/2".
