I can tell by comparing this Flexon hose to the last hose I purchased - which also had a Lifetime Warranty but was made by a different hose manufacturer - that this Flexon is made so much better. I have been using it a month and it has not kinked yet. The brass fittings are of superior quality and I like that the coupling is made larger for a better grip when tightening it onto the spigot (see the picture I uploaded).If you do have an issue with the warranty, it requires you cut off both ends of the hose and mail those 2 pieces back to the manufacturer, along with the defective section of the hose. You will also need your receipt and the piece of cardboard from the hose stating it comes with a lifetime warranty. Was very hard for me to uncurl. For a heavy duty hose it "does" have a problem with kinks. And once kinked it has a tendency to kink very easy in the same spot. I would recommend putting the hose in the sun for awhile before trying to uncurl it. I say this because I used this in early spring here in the northeast, and maybe the cool weather made it harder to manage.
