You will need soft earth to pound the pointed base into the ground about 12". Soak the ground with 1-2 gallons of water if its not soft enough. Pound the base into your choosen spot with a small block of wood to protect the metal and a hammer or small sledge. Then just drop the stand into the base and tighten the bolts. Takes up very little room and looks great. But it also makes it easier to move from spot to spot til you decide where you want it (like I did) but most people know where they want the hose holder so be sure to have a set of strong hands to turn the wrench! But if you don't, it will still work, it may just wobble abit. It is well made and very nice looking. All you need is a hammer, wrench, and wood block (for use when pounding the base into the ground). It is quite stable and serves its purpose well. It is sturdy and well-made. It is a bit taller than expected; so, it might seem out of place if you are planning to use it for a small area. |
