Didn't quite make a full season of use. I had high hopes for the nozzle but this one has also ultimately disappointed. The quest continues for a reliable, long lasting hose nozzle. I am going to reduce my rating from 4 stars to 2 stars since the durability of this nozzle has fallen far short of what you'd expect. I will leave my original review for your consideration. What follows is my original review... Oh the quest for a durable, useable hose nozzle. This Nelson 50130 has a nice selection of spray patterns, although a couple of them are so similar I wonder if they are really necessary at all. The "Easy Clik" on-off button is clever but a little wishy-washy when it is pushed. Since it has a rubbery cover over it, the button action is sometimes wobbly and I don't know whether it will last very long or whether the cover will... She does that a lot. I go through hoze nozzles like some people go through disposable contact lenses. Seldom does one last me more than a couple years. I either lose them, leave them outside all winter with bad results, or drop them once too often. The fact that I've had at least three of these Nelson nozzles shows how much I like them.When the nozzle goes bad, either the on/off button fails or the nozzle leaks on certain settings. The Good: Comfortable grip Turns on and off with a twitch of the trigger finger A control in the rear adjusts the spray's force The threads that screw onto the hose are made of metal Easy switch settings - flat, shower, soaker, bucket filler, rinse, power wash, and mist And: The force of the power wash depends on your water pressure. You click on one button and it stays on so you don't have to hold in the trigger. I've had mine for a year and the spray function went bad because I left it out for the winter. I called the company (L. R. Nelson Corporation) and they said they would ship me a replacement at no charge after I faxed them my receipt (save your receipt). What a great company. Update: I've now had the replacement one for about 2 months and it works as well as my original one. UNLIKE OTHER REVIEWERS, MY TWO HAVE NEVER LEAKED. |
